Quotes are appreciated in Twitter. Many persons circulate quotes only. And they look very interesting at certain points in time. A blogger advised that to promote a blog post you post various quotes from it in social media sites.
Quotes are appreciated on Google+ also. You have make a big post but one sentence quote that captures the central idea of a para can do wonders for your blog post. It catches the attention of the reader in his quick scrolling of the feed.
Try to create quotes from your blog posts. You can post them in your comments first as a way of highlighting them and then post them periodically in your social media sites. They will provide bang for the buck.
You can use quotes in FaceBook posts also.
Today I created this quote for my Industrial Engineering Knowledge Revision Pages.
IE helps in creating new industries and prosperous industries.
IE makes enterprises rich. IE makes employees rich. IE makes societies rich.
So far I got two likes and a retweet on twitter and a like on FaceBook. Good initial reaction. I also created a picture to promote my IE revision pages
