1. Write something memorable in their card - The communication helps them to know that you are providing support to them.
2. Make them a meal - People neglect their daily activities in their sorrow. Make a meal for them.
3. Give them your phone number - There may want to talk. But can't decide whom to talk. Give them your number and encourage them to give a ring to you.
4. Check in regularly - After the initial days, many friends will not give them a second call. Enquire their wellbeing regularly for a longer period.
5. Be sincere and genuine - Show genuine sympathy for their situation.
