Entertainment is essential for life. Apart from sleep, entertainment relaxes the tired parts of the body, and provides energy to them to renew the economic work. Watching cricket or films is not waste of time, it is appropriate usage of part of 16 hours if we say we have to sleep an average of 8 hours in a day.
